Schloegel Team Members Partner With Electrician Jason Wright To Create This Amazing Dog House

Dog House Will Be Auctioned Off to Benefit KC Pet Project

Recently, Schloegel teamed up with Jason Wright Electric for a charity dog house competition & auction to benefit KC Pet Project at this past weekend’s Kansas City Remodel + Garden Show. NARI partnered with the Remodeling show to raise money for the KC Pet Project, which a local no-kill animal shelter.  They were looking for 7 companies to donate a dog house that would then be auctioned off with the proceeds going to the KC Pet Project.

Our Production Manager, Chris Peterson realized that not only would this be a fun project to work on, it was for a worthy cause, and quickly volunteered to help. With the help of Chris and designer Amy Boeshaar, our Schloegel team partnered with Jason Wright of Jason Wright Electric, who was in this weekend’s show, to design & build the dog house. After some quick meetings, they came up with a few things that would definitely put this house over the top.

The structure itself is made from a waterproof shower substrate, and covered in porcelain tile with glass accents, to withstand inclement weather. Plumbing Plus added a water spigot to fill a water bowl and a shower head to bathe the dog on the exterior of the house. It has a heated floor, LED lights around the perimeter of the roof, a 19” TV screen on the front of the house and a tablet mounted in the window so you can face time with your dog while away from home! This doghouse is truly made for the most discerning of pups!
