Designer Megan LynchWatch out for this up-and-comer!  Our design consultant, Megan Lynch, designed a kitchen worthy of the customer’s kudos and two design awards.

Along with winning the Prestigious ‘Shiloh Design Awards’ contest, this beautiful kitchen also took first place at the 2010 NARI remodeler’s award show in Kansas city.  It is an elegant and beautiful kitchen in every regard.

Megan describes the project:   “The original galley kitchen in the 1930’s Cape Cod home was dated and not functional for a young family.  It was also closed off from the rest of the home.  The new addition combined the spaces to create one large room.”

Megan Lynch's winning design“One major challenge to this kitchen design layout was a structural column in the middle of the space. We incorporated this into the kitchen island and addressed it with applied molding details to make it an architectural element in the space.”

The new kitchen features a multi-level island that functions as seating, serving, and working space.  The cabinetry has the latest in storage innovations and a walk in pantry provides great convenience.  This family can now enjoy a range of activities together in the space!
