Handyman Advantage Plan Enrollment

Contract and Terms of Service
The following reflect the terms & conditions for the Schloegel Home Advantage Plan, referred to as the Plan, a home service offered by Schloegel Handyman Services, a department of Schloegel Remodel & Design, LLC. This agreement is between Schloegel Remodel & Design, LLC. DBA Schloegel Design Remodel (“SDR”) and the client, referred to as Owner.

Pricing & Renewal
$900 pricing applies to homes under 4,000 square feet. For larger homes, please request a quote. Materials are not included. This contract applies to a single home only at the address listed on this contract. The 10% hourly billing rate discount will be applied to the then-current Handyman Services hourly billing rate. The discount rate applies to a maximum of 8 continuous hours at one time.
Hourly billing rate only applies to time and material projects without a preliminary quote or estimate. Materials provided during time and material projects will be billed at cost plus 25%. There is no discount for trade partners' services fees.
Trade partner billing will be billed to the Owner at cost plus 20%instead of cost plus 25% for unscheduled services. This only applies to time and material projects (the 5% discount). The 5% discount will be applied to the Handyman Services contract price. The annual discount of the contract price will not exceed $500.00 and is capped at a total of$500 annually for all contract work.
The standard Handyman Services 2-hour minimum is waived.
A 1-hour minimum applies to every service visit. Schloegel Handyman Services will track Owners' home maintenance lists. The Plan discount rates and material costs will be applied to the maintenance list. The Plan does not include evening or weekend rates. Evening and weekend services do not apply to this plan.
Evening and weekend service rates are double standard rates and include all drive time to and from the technician’s residence to your home and all applicable time for hardware store trips and hours while on the project. This agreement shall be automatically renewed annually until the Owner cancels per the cancellation policy. Schloegel Handyman Services reserves the right to change or cancel the contract at any time with notification to the Owner.

Service Timing
72-hour turnaround on requests for time and material services; subcontract work may not be available within 72 hours.
In natural disasters, we may not be able to provide service within 24 hours. Emergencies are constituted as services to mitigate damage to the home until further repairs can be scheduled and/or life safety repairs/enhancements. Emergency services do not include services for long lead time items. The project duration can be at most 8 contiguous hours.

Annual Home Assessment
The assessment will be completed once per year and annually upon renewal of the program. The approximately 1-2 hour assessment will include the following:
Look for signs of plumbing leaks.
Inspect for signs of electrical overload.
Test the sump pump function.
Inspect for signs of water intrusion.
Inspect washing machine supply lines, if accessible.
Inspect for signs of wood rot.
Test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and replacebatteries.
Replace the furnace filter with a client-provided filter.
Replace light bulbs with client-provided bulbs (up to 10 ft ceilings).
Clean the dryer vent.

Payments
For the monthly payment plan option, payments will be automatically charged monthly on the first business day of each month. For yearly payments, the payment will be due at the signature and on the first business day after the anniversary date thereof.
If payments are not current, SDR reserves the right to withhold service.

Cancellation Policy
The Home Advantage Plan has a one-year minimum commitment. Following the 12th month, the commitment will move month to month. After the first year of this agreement, the Owner may cancel this agreement with at least 30 days prior written notice to SDR prior to the then-upcoming annual renewal. The Plan is non-transferable to other friends, family members, or addresses.
Only for work completed at the home address for the service agreement.
