After April 22, a new Environmental Protection Agency law goes into place. Any home built before December 31, 1977 will have to be tested for lead if more than 6 square feet of interior or 20 square feet of exterior surface will be disturbed. If lead is found, certain procedures must be followed to remove the lead from the home. The law requires contractors to get certified and follow lead-safe work practices. Several team members of Schloegel Design Remodel have been certified. Attached is a photo of Brad Scott, our Production Manager, going through the training to receive his certification.
