According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), there are approximately 15,000 clothes dryer fires each year, resulting in nearly $88 million property damage, not to mention injuries and heartache. This is pretty sobering news. The upside is that there is something you can do to better protect yourself from having this happen to you: inspecting, maintaining and cleaning your appliances hoses and ventilation at least twice a year.
