This week, we are looking at a handful of furniture assembly projects recently performed by our handyman team. We all know the headache of sitting over complicated assembly instructions or learning that you have to go buy a tool just to get a task done. These jobs are perfect to outsource to our Handyman Services department!
A Playset Rebuilt With Confidence
When it comes to kids’ play equipment it’s important to make sure the finished piece is structurally sound and assembled correctly to avoid malfunction and possible injury. By outsourcing this task to our handymen, you’re enlisting the help of experience builders with the proper tools and equipment. This backyard playset was damaged in a storm that left it with a significant lean and the vinyl finish torn, leaving the wooden structure exposed to the elements. The lag bolts that once held it together were no longer secure. To fix the playset, we disassembled the entire thing, gave it a power wash, coated the exposed wood in weatherproof exterior paint, and created new holes for the lag bolts so the entire structure was sound once again. Now these clients can be confident that the playset is safe.

A Basketball Goal
A DIY groundworks or post installation is a huge headache without the knowledge or tools to get it done efficiently. Instead of spending hours watching How To videos on digging post holes, mixing concrete, and getting a perfectly plumb post, why not relax and have our Handymen take care of it in an afternoon? For this project, we installed a basketball goal in our client’s driveway.
Custom Bookshelves Built in Our Schloegel Woodshop
These clients wanted to add some much needed storage and style to their living area. A set of bookcases sounded like the perfect solution. They wanted something more custom for their space than what was available in box stores. Our Handyman Services team came in to the space, measured, and took notes on the existing finishes and trim to come up with a design. Once a plan was made, they set to work constructing a pair of book cases with lower cabinets in our very own shop.
A Daunting Bunkbed
For this furniture build, or should we say rebuild, our clients’ son was ready for an upgraded sleeping space in his bedroom. Our clients simply didn’t have the time to deal with such a large fixture so they recruited our Handyman Services team to disassemble the bed and relocate it to a different area of the home.
The space after the bunkbed was relocated. Ready for whatever comes next!
Though the bunkbed was a bit too large for this space, it could still serve a purpose as a guest sleeper in this basement bedroom.

A common headache we think most people have experienced is acquiring a piece of furniture, opening the box, seeing countless parts tightly packed inside. Why not have the furniture magically assemble with the help of our handymen? This client asked for our help with a new set of bedroom furniture.
