We are highlighting some of our favorite “smart” kitchen gadgets in new kitchen remodels across the country.
Today we are looking at LG’s Smart ThinQ Refrigerator: This is a smart refrigerator that lets you input and manage what food you have in the refrigerator, track expiration date information and will even recommend recipes based on the food available.It also has an internal camera that users can access from a web-connected smartphone to see exactly what they have left inside.
The fridge also comes with a built-in dietitian that can be programmed to keep an eye on what you’re eating, suggesting healthy eating options and recipes. But do bear in mind, if you decide to opt for the unhealthy option, it will let you know! All of the decisions the fridge makes is based on a user’s personal data, including Body Mass Index (BMI) and weight loss targets, which are both programmed into the fridge. It then uses smart TV and voice recognition technology to ascertain who is opening the fridge.
When you opt to use one of the recipes it recommends, it can even switch on a compatible oven at the correct temperature in preparation. One less thing to worry about for those busy weeknights!
