About the Giveaway
Olivia’s Big Splash provides a custom-designed, fully accessible bathroom to a local family with a child living with disabilities. Too often, bathrooms aren’t designed to meet accessibility needs, creating daily challenges for children and their families. Sixteen years ago, we began this giveaway with the hope of removing those barriers, using our expertise to create safe, beautiful spaces that promote comfort, independence, and dignity. It's our way of giving back to the community we love so much!

Last Year’s Recipient – Colton Kinnard

Our team loved working with Colton and his family! Colton is a designer extraodinaire making all the bathroom selections alongside Kelly Summers.
Colton was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) at age 5. DMD weakens muscles in the limbs, heart, and lungs. After a fall in 2021 broke Colton’s leg, he has relied on a wheelchair for mobility. For years, Colton couldn’t easily access the bathroom in his own home. That all changed this year with his brand-new, fully accessible bathroom—custom-designed just for him.
“Colton can now brush his teeth, wash his hands and face, and enjoy a proper shower in his own bathroom. Before the remodel, he wasn’t able to do any of these daily activities in a bathroom—we had to rely on bowls and buckets. Now he has the freedom and independence every teenager deserves, along with the privacy to use the restroom and the best shower he could ever ask for. We cannot thank Schloegel Design Remodel enough for this beautiful and priceless gift, and we are also grateful to the Olivia Bloomfield Foundation and the volunteer contractors who helped make this possible. You have truly made Colton one of the happiest boys of all time.” – Cristina, Ray, and Colton Kinnard
