Overbrook Road - Leawood Kitchen
Project by Perry Holloway
When shopping for a new home, it’s common to come across houses that were acquired with the intention of being flipped in order to take advantage of a favorable market. This leads to a lot of updates performed in a short amount of time with contractors that may be more economical, but the craftsmanship is often lacking. These clients found a house in Leawood that they loved and matched their unique style perfectly, however, there were some issues they wanted to address from recent renovations. One major eye sore for our clients was the paint job on the kitchen cabinetry initiated by the previous owners. Lack of durability made the finish scratch easily and there were many areas where the paint was applied too thickly, resulting in drips, or too thinly where areas didn't get painted at all. Our team gave these cabinets a factory finish and, though the transformation is subtle, the professional finish made the process well worth it! Along with addressing the cabinets, we installed additional cabinetry to house the fridge and hung new lighting fixtures in both the kitchen and dining area.
