Thousands apply and send a survey facilitated by Quantum Workplace to their employees. The results are anonymous, and a preset number of those employees are required to complete the survey. The top-scoring companies are honored, and the top three are ranked.
The Kansas City Business Journal shared a little bit about why Schloegel is a great place to work.
To accommodate our expanding team, we bought an additional facility. After remodeling, we now have a space large enough to host our entire team for group meetings and events. With the stress of the world around us, we launched a wellness series. This year was also our inaugural Henry Ramirez Award, where we recognized a team member for embodying our core values.
What drives employee engagement?
Over half of our team is in the field working every day, and keeping everyone feeling engaged is a continual goal. We host quarterly “All Meets,” where all company metrics and successes are shared. Little touches like job site lunches, Schloegel bucks for recognition and anniversary lunches help ensure each team member is appreciated.
Describe your company’s culture.
At Schloegel, we know it is our team that makes the remodeling experience exceptional. Our top goal is for team members to enjoy coming to work and live our core values. We work hard and support one another to ensure our success. With fun being a core value, our fun committee takes its job very seriously. This year, we’ve had a prom, fiesta with a taco truck, cornhole tournament and several other events.
Our team members each have one day of PTO to donate their time to a cause they support. Each year, our company donates a bathroom to a child with special needs, and it’s a wonderful opportunity for team members to give back. It’s always an honor to work on the project and see how it benefits the recipient family.
