Get ready for an exciting update on our Green Glass Kitchen Project in Brookside! Since our last check-in, this space has undergone some significant changes. We've come a long way from initial design concepts and demolition, and after all the foundational work, we're excited that the drywall is complete and the amazing new cabinetry has been installed. This sleek kitchen is really coming to life!
A Smooth Canvas: Drywall Transformation
What was once a collection of bare studs quickly became a solid, defined room, perfectly outlining the future kitchen. We carefully cut the right size sheets of drywall and hung them to create the new walls.
Once drywall was up, it's now for the taping and mudding – that's where we create a truly seamless surface. We applied mud and tape over every joint and screw, then follow up with several rounds of sanding. Each pass gets the walls perfectly smooth and ready for their final finishes, ensuring a beautiful seamless result.
With drywall complete, this kitchen is now a true blank slate! It's the essential foundation for all the beautiful design elements – from custom cabinetry to sleek countertops – that will soon bring our vision for this Brookside home to life.
Defining the Space- Custom Cabinetry Installation
The Green Glass Kitchen project is now making a bold statement with the installation of its custom high-gloss cabinetry. This is where true design comes to life – tailored storage and seamless workflow, perfectly transforming this kitchen.
The transformation is truly remarkable! This kitchen now features sleek with bright white cabinetry throughout, creating a clean, expansive feel. The immediate eye-catcher? The stunning high-gloss green peninsula/island piece. This fun pop of color adds personality and a sophisticated edge to the space.
Old sunroom is now a wall of floor-to-ceiling custom cabinets for pantry storage.
Beyond aesthetics, functionality was key for our clients. The new peninsula expands counter space and creates a perfect spot for casual dining or gathering. Plus, we've integrated an entire wall of pantry storage into the adjacent sunroom, maximizing every inch and ultimately making life and cooking way easier for our clients.

We're eagerly anticipating the installation of the countertops and the unique painted back glass backsplash, which will add depth and character. Soon after, we'll be moving on to painting, and installing the lighting and plumbing fixtures, along with all those crucial final touches that bring a designer kitchen to life.
