  • Updating an Outdated Kitchen with Express Custom Kitchen Approach

Our clients certainly say it best – listen to how Kathy and Dan describe their experience.

Kathy: Our kitchen was okay shape but it was very outdated. It was from 1985.

Dan: We wanted help because we’re not designers. We wanted someone that could come in and look and say, “Well, yes, I see this and I recommend this.” Ron was very good that way. We had a budget and Ron stayed within the budget. We did add a few things that were out of the budget like the fireplace.

Kathy: But we’re very happy we did.

Dan: You could tell just the when he walked in room the first time, his head was just kind of going around looking at, “Oh, this would work here,” and “I see this here,” and he was just very good for us. He fit with us very good.

They clean the messes up. They even put a plastic sheet-
Kathy: A barrier.

Dan: A barrier so that our upstairs wouldn’t get dusty.

Kathy: We really had never gone through a remodel before but we liked the process. We liked to watch the differences that were made week to week. It was fun.
Well, I was surprised and pleasantly surprised because the head carpenter and the crew leader, whom we didn’t see very often, they had meetings with us to make sure everything was going on as planned and that we were happy every stage of the way.

Dan: But they had inspections as they went along and made little corrections that we may not even notice.

Kathy: Yeah. We were more than happy.

Dan: Even a year later, they came back.

Kathy: There is nothing I would really change if I had to do it over again. Very happy with the colors, everything. I feel that Ron gave us a timeless design and that’s what I wanted. Something that would be functional and look good for 10, 15 years.
