West 94th Street - Lenexa Portico

This home in Lenexa already had a lovely exterior, but our clients wanted to create a more substantial entryway and provide more protection from the elements as well as additional exterior lighting. This project was a fun challenge for our architects to play off of the existing roofline and underlying structure. In the end these homeowners received a stately new portico reinforced with black steel beams and column for support, finished with the same stone that exists on the rest of the home. Natural wood paneling makes up the new ceiling providing dynamism and warmth. Four can lights that exist on a timer provide plenty of illumination in the evening hours.
