Join us in celebrating our 2024 Olivia's Big Splash Custom Bath Giveaway recipient, Chloe Wilson, a vibrant 5-year-old full of zest. Chloe has faced many challenges after being diagnosed with Congenital Muscular Dystrophy at six months old, but her reliance on a powerchair for mobility hasn't slowed her spirit. However, her home lacks the necessary accommodations for her chair, presenting hurdles in her daily life. We're excited to remove those barriers so Chloe can live more independently in her own home.
Bathroom Obstacles
One of the most pressing issues Chloe encounters is the standard-sized doorway to her bathroom, which her chair cannot navigate. Furthermore, the standard tub/shower combination poses another barrier. Lastly, the single vanity sink is out of reach, hindering Chloe from independently performing everyday tasks like washing her hands and teeth.
Exciting Plans Ahead!
In collaboration with the Olivia Bloomfield Foundation, we've just informed the Wilson family about our plans to redesign Chloe's bathroom. Kelly Summers, CKBR, Lindsay Brungardt, and Leslie Hatfield will create a design aimed not only at granting Chloe access to her bathroom but also fostering her independence!
