  • Designer Gayle Jagoda Retires After 23 Years

Last updated on May 3, 2023

This past weekend, the Schloegel Design Remodel team, along with past clients and trade partners across Kansas City, crowded into the SDR conference center and celebrated the retirement of designer Gayle Jagoda, and her 23 years of impeccable service.

In 1996, Debbie Schloegel met an inspiring woman on a set of high school bleachers and insisted that her husband, Jake, talk with her about working for Epoxy Coating Specialists. Soon, Jake recognized that Gayle’s talents were wasted at ECS and asked if she would join the sales and design team at Schloegel Design Remodel. So began Gayle’s 23-year career at SDR!

Over the years, Gayle has made many friends out of coworkers and clients and has amassed an absolutely stunning, timeless, and extensive portfolio of work.

Friday evening, the SDR offices filled with the chatter of congratulations, well wishes, and everyone’s favorite Gayle stories. However, goodbyes are not forever! Gayle will still be hanging about at the Schloegel offices to take on projects on a more casual basis so keep any eye out for even more of her amazing work!

Happy Retirement, Gayle! You will be missed!

Founder Jake Schloegel, VP of Production Chris Peterson, designer Donna Kirsopp, project manager Andy Gower, and many others at SDR sat down and shared their fondest memories of Gayle. Watch the video below!
