Jake,

What would the cost be to install 3 toilets?

-Paula

My son, Charlie, manages our Handyman Services division which installs single items all the time.  I’ve asked him to answer your question:

Paula,

The price to replace three toilets can vary widely.  When it comes to toilets, there are many manufacturers and many options available.  Who would’ve thought!

When purchasing a new toilet you may want to consider these options:

* Do you want an elongated bowl?  This is a newer style that is perceived to be more comfortable.  This style of toilet adds about 2” to the length of the bowl from the tank to the front of the toilet.

 * Is a single piece toilet important to you?  A single piece toilet is easier to clean and won’t leak at the gasket from the tank to the base because there is no gasket.

 * Are you desiring a Comfort Height toilet?  Comfort Height toilets are about 2” taller than a standard toilet and are easier to get off and on.

The options mentioned above can affect the price of a toilet.  A two piece toilet can increase the installation time due to the required assembly. Giving a blanket price to install a toilet is difficult, however, one could purchase a quality toilet for approximately $300.00 and installation could be approximately $150.00 per toilet.  Don’t forget to replace the wax ring during installation!  Best of luck with your plumbing projects!

Of note, a Comfort Height/elongated bowl combo assists in making your bathrooms more Universally Designed and as a result, more readily accessible for varying age groups and abilities.

Thanks,
