  • Schloegel Receives Best of Design 2019 on Houzz

Last updated on December 10, 2022

Recently, Houzz came out with their “Best of Houzz 2019” winners and we are excited to be on the list in the Design category! The list is comprised of Houzz users who’ve had some of the most popular images on Houzz in 2018.

The Winning Image

Our spectacular project in DeSoto designed by Leslie Hatfield was the project that helped us take home the award. This is the image that brought in the most love!

In fact, many images from the same project are among our most-saved images on Houzz. It’s easy to see why as the home turned out stunning and feels like a resort. The house previously had a kidney-shaped swimming pool and concrete patio. They didn’t fit with the design aesthetic the homeowners wanted.

We added a huge two-story porch and a new larger, rectangle pool. The pool features a linear low stone waterfall that ties in the column stone from the porch. It creates the perfect mix of a modern but more natural country setting. Read more about the fabulous project.

Top Houzz Images

It’s always so fun to see what images are popular across different platforms, so we thought we’d share a few of our other most popular images on Houzz.

Small but Fabulous Bathroom

Thanks to the fabulous work of designer Amy Boeshaar, this primarybathroom remodel in Fairway has a bright and airy aesthetic featuring Carerra marble vanity top and herringbone floor tile. This is our most popular project on Houzz with over 7,000 shares saves!

A Classic Kitchen

In this Mission Hills home kitchen remodel, designer Megan Bringman worked with the homeowners to maximize kitchen space and create an open concept kitchen that flows well with the other rooms in the home.

White Painted Brick Home with a Pop of Turquoise

This beautiful whole house remodel by Donna Kirsopp is timeless. The exterior pictures of the home continue to get shared across multiple platforms. It’s a classic beauty with white paint, black shutters, brick steps and a pop of color on the front door to welcome guests.

Traditional Meets Modern

This whole house remodel by Gayle Jagoda and Debby Schloegel features elements from the pre-existing traditional style of the home, however, the homeowners were looking for a modern and chic feel. This can be seen in the beautiful fireplace which has modern, sleek trim.

Black and White with Unique Design Touches

Our final featured Houzz project designed by Debby Schloegel is a full kitchen remodel that involves a mix of stains and finishes: from the cabinets and island to the kitchen table and bar stools. With a mainly neutral color palette, accents of turquoise and pops of other colors help to keep this new kitchen fresh and fun.
