Do you have an eye for dramatic design? If so, statement powder bathrooms are probably right for you! The rooms are typically right off the kitchen and are a great area to add color and interest to your home. Schloegel Design Remodel Designer Amy Boeshaar discusses different options to consider when designing your perfect statement powder bath.
This bathroom features gray cabinets, unlike the white cabinetry in the kitchen to which it was adjoined. The grass wallpaper brings some interesting texture into the space.
While this powder bath has traditional finishes, like the hexagon tile and pedestal sink, the shade of light blue paint makes it a really fun and light space.
This powder bathroom features interesting wainscoting detail and trim work to make the room standout. The homeowner made a custom shade to bring out the colors in the grass cloth wallpaper and the herring bone marble tile floor brings some light elegance to the area.
While the sleek finishes, like the circle mirror and stainless steel faucet, certainly modernize this space, the blue accent tile is the true show stopper in this powder bath.
The wainscoting and fun tile pattern were enough to make this room shine, but the floating vanity adds an interesting modern twist in the space.
The patterned wallpaper was the focal point of this bathroom, which otherwise included a standard stained vanity. As you get close to the walls, the blues and greens in the wallpaper appear to be stenciled on and keep your attention while in the room.
Because the vanity in the space was relatively small, Amy was able to use a really great remnant piece of marble for the countertop. Combined with brass finishes and dark grey cabinetry, this powder bath definitely stood out from the rest of the home.
