We are following along on the progress of this Leavenworth home built in the early 1990s. The remodel includes a new layout as well as fabulous finishes. Just in case you missed it here’s Week 1, Week 2, Week 3 and Week 4. The homeowners worked with Kelsey Kimble and communicated their wishlist for their new kitchen. Kelsey took their visions and ran with them to create a stunning new space. This week is the final reveal of the beautiful chef’s kitchen!
A Quick Look Back
The kitchen felt dark and smaller than it was with its honey oak cabinets and tile floors. The layout wasn’t ideal with the appliances all clustered on one side and the desk wasn’t used.
The New Design
The new design takes full advantage of the kitchen size. The homeowners wanted their kitchen designed around the appliances and. Kelsey Kimble easily incorporated the beautiful appliances they selected into the chef’s kitchen design.
A Stunning Chef’s Kitchen
Kelsey’s design along with Bill Workman and Ryan Water’s expert execution shines in this beautiful chef’s kitchen. The majority of the cabinets are painted in Sherwin Williams Foggy Day. Stained cabinets surrounding the sink look like a piece of furniture. Stained open shelves make the space open and bright while bringing in additional warmth. The white subway tile backsplash on the entire kitchen perimeter wall keeps the kitchen light.
The island is hard to miss as not only is it quite large but it gorgeous! The majority of the counter is Calacatta Laza by MSI while one end showcases a beautiful slab of wood.
Now let’s talk about those appliances! The homeowners selected GE Monogram. The 36” six-burner range will output some seriously delicious meals. The double door oven offers additional space when prepping for food for larger groups or guests. The Advantium is a kitchen workhorse with speed cooking, convection, microwave and warming capabilities. The dishwasher and dual drawer refrigerators are also GE Monogram. The large refrigerator is Frigidaire.
Finally, the large light fixtures pull the entire room together. The large scale is perfect given the size of the room and ceiling height. The team also hung a beautiful new fixture in the dining room. The homeowner is an avid antique collector and her pieces tie everything together. It’s a beautiful blend of new and vintage with farmhouse elements.
