A couple of months ago, we featured a story about a very unique lamp that our Design Consultant Megan Lynch created for clients of hers using a piece of cactus wood. These clients loved the work so much that they have recently asked Megan to create lighting, specifically custom blown glass pendant lights, to be placed over their kitchen island. Their farmhouse kitchen features a multi-color cupola and cherry beams at the ceiling, so together they decided to add a fun and artistic statement with new lights. Megan & her clients met with glass-blowing artist Dierk Van Keppel at his warehouse in Kansas City to look at colors, shapes and textures for the new design. Dierk has been crafting free-blown pieces with his talented team in his studio, Rock Cottage Glassworks, since 1981. Stay posted for finished photos of the lights in the upcoming months!
