  • Green Goddess Kitchen – a designKC feature

Last updated on December 12, 2023

designKC's fall issue recently hit stands full of beautiful homes across Kansas City. It's a huge honor (while also a little strange) to see my (Amy Girard) own home shared. The feature, Green Goddess, was written by designKC's own Andrea Darr and photographed by Matthew Anderson.

When you embark on a remodeling project and go through Schloegel's design process, the initial conversations revolve around your unique lifestyle, the challenges you face in your current home, and your vision for transforming your living space. After prioritizing your requirements and preferences, you eventually reach the fun part - making selections. Here, you have the opportunity to make selections that resonate with your personal taste. The ultimate goal is to improve your home for your family, so when others appreciate your space as much as you do, it's a humbling experience. Now the entire world or at least Kansas City also now knows how much I love the color green.😳

Charlie Schloegel, CR, UDCP and I had the chance to sit down with Keith Sauro of designKC to chat more about the project on an episode of Off The Page.
