For the last few months, the Schloegel crew has been working tirelessly on this family outdoor patio and kitchen and we are so proud to share the results. In this project, you’ll see a standard patio on a large plot of land in De Soto turn into an outdoor dream space for cooking, entertaining and relaxing.
Leslie Hatfield and Chris Peterson oversaw the project. Leslie said that the homeowners are cooking fanatics who love to host friends and family, so the dual-sided stone fireplace is going to be a big hit. Guests can lounge on couches on one side of the fireplace while the other side features a fireplace for food preparation. Then, right next to the fireplace is a hog roasting pit.
“I’d never made a hog roasting pit before,” she said.
Leslie said the most challenging part of the project was finding pieces to fit its scale. Locating a 5-foot chandelier and 4-foot sconces was no easy feat! The challenge was definitely worth it for the Schloegel team, though.
“We are so happy with the overall effect of the project. It’s a beautiful space,” she said.
