Nina Schmidt worked with the homeowners of this Leawood home to remodel their kitchen. Shannon Washam brought that vision to life. The end result is this stunning on-trend, dream kitchen. In case you missed it take a look at the previous kitchen and kitchen under construction.

A Big Change
Here’s a quick reminder of the kitchen before. It had had dark cabinets and the flow of space wasn’t very functional.
The word dark isn’t in the same solar system as this kitchen. It’s bright and flooded with natural light. Shiloh cabinets in Soft White are brought to the ceiling on the perimeter while the island and range hood are Rift White Oak in Almond.
A Kohler farmhouse sink sits center under the bump out of windows. We love the Moen Weymouth Bridge faucet in Matte Black the homeowners selected.
Nina worked with the homeowner to select stunning Circa Lighting fixtures from Relative Lighting. She and the homeowner also worked tirelessly to find the perfect backsplash tile. So many were too white, cream, or had a tint of blue. This one, Sonoma Tile Dakota Summit Gloss 5x5, blended perfectly with the cabinet and the quartz counter.
The team worked hard to match the island with the pocket door as well the beam wrapping the cased entry into the kitchen. They pulled it off perfectly.
The pocket door tucks away the beautiful pantry with custom cabinets. Cambria Brittanicca Warm quartz is on the island while the perimeter is Q Quartz Carrara Mist, an option with subtle patterns.
The clients love their new kitchen and are already working with Nina on updating the rest of their main floor!
